M Pire Mag - Our Plans for the Feb 2014 Issue

Since we've gone on this "theme" train for the past couple issues, we figured we might as well keep it going. My partner and I were going down the list of ideas and themes we can cover for the February 2014 issue, and we both finally agreed on one.

We're going to spend this coming issue featuring various yearly festivals that happen, not just in NYC, but now all across the country. We're close to NYC so we were able to access everything that was going on there, but this time we're finally going to expand to cater to artists on a national scale (and soon, on a global scale). When we mean various festivals, we mean music festivals (like the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival that we featured in our November issue), film festivals, conventions, fashion shows, book festivals for our writers, etc. We expect this issue to be one of our most explosive so far...

If any of you know about any festivals that happen in your area, feel free to comment and share them with us, and we'll be happy to look into getting them in the mag!

If you have not already, check out our November 2013 issue below that was released last week:

Exclusive Video Interview with Comedian Shang Forbes

Hey guys,

One more blog post. I wanted to highlight our exclusive video interview with our cover feature for the November issue of M Pire Magazine, comedian Shang Forbes. Check it out below, and Also check out our full November 2013 issue below the video!

The M Pire Mag November 2013 Issue is Here

We followed through with our theme for this issue, which revolves around Comedy. We actually did so to break the assumption that we're just a magazine for music. We're a magazine that promotes all types of art. Anyways, we managed to get a hold of and interview our cover feature, Shang Forbes. You will find our video interview of him, and others, inside the new issue below.

Among other comedy features are Lil Rel, and some of New York's hottest comedy clubs where you can showcase your talent, such as Eastville Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, and we also did an interview with Al Martin, who owns New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and Greenwich Village Comedy Club. Pretty meaty stuff!

And for our Hip Hop artists out there, we also got a hold of Wes Jackson, who is the founder of the Brooklyn Bodega, which hosts its annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. We were able to cover their recent event which was the Red Bull Sound Select Presents New York at the Knitting Factory, and were able to interview one of the performing artists, Kiah Victoria.

And for those in the Fashion world, we have an exclusive article with blogger Kiersten Heath with her trendy favorites for fall (speaking of which, we're discussing Fashion to possibly be our next theme for February 2014, so stay tuned)...

We have many other useful surprises in our issue so feel free to dive in and see what we have for you:
